Bablake is one of five schools in the Coventry School Foundation. It is one of the oldest schools in the UK and can trace its origins to as early as 1344, but it was re-founded in 1580 and moved from the centre of the city to its present 11-acre site just outside the Coventry ring road. It became co-educational in 1975, and now shares the site with its own Junior School; there are another 40 acres of playing fields about one mile from the school. The school seeks inspiration in the very best of old and new; dynamic and forward-looking, it nevertheless prizes the values of traditional academic rigour. It is well known for its high standards, its exciting range of co-curricular opportunities and its caring pastoral system.

Bablake benefits from excellent sporting facilities. On-site, there is a sports hall that has a swimming pool, gym, dance studio and climbingwall. We also have tennis and netball courts that have been renovated in 2015. For outdoor Kings Camps activities there is an excellent Astroturf and a vast playing field with facilities for rugby, cricket, athletics and football.
